“Sister” (1987) fue lo primero que escuchamos de Sonic Youth, grupo que se convirtió en una gran influencia para Iguana Lovers (antes hacíamos 100% de “Dirty”). Por eso decidimos hacer “Cotton Crown” en homenaje a ese momento y además porque se adaptaba mejor a la voz de Nancy y al formato tecno que le queríamos dar, algo así como un remix de Sonic Youth. También, nos parecía un buen punto de vista para acercarnos al tema de un grupo que definitivamente no es tecno. Para la versión de Cotton, usamos samplers del tema original como referencia a la canción, pero no seguimos la estructura tal cual es, buscamos recrear también, dentro de esta versión, los diferentes climas que manejan los Sonic en sus temas pero a la vez tratamos de alejarnos de su universo sónico.
